Description
The clutch release bearing is used to transmit or close the driving force.
When the driving force is turned off, the clutch release bearing is affected by the strong force from the high-speed rotating diaphragm spring and starts to rotate suddenly. If there is an obvious gap between the rotating center of the diaphragm spring and the clutch release bearing, the contact surface is likely to generate heat and wear, which will greatly affect the function of the clutch. In particular, the self-adjusting clutch release bearing can prevent such abnormal heating and wear.
If there is a significant gap between the centre of rotation of the diaphragm spring and the clutch release bearing, self-alignment of the clutch release bearing prevents abnormal heating and wear. A centring mechanism between the sleeve and the bearing absorbs the gap in the centre of rotation of the diaphragm spring at the start of the rotation of the clutch release bearing, after which the centres of rotation of both are aligned to suppress abnormal heating and wear on the contact surfaces.
Clutch release bearings that use steel plate presses for their bearing rings decrease the overall vehicle weight and contribute to lower fuel consumption.
